Process

Successful design is about more than creating attractive images. An effective visual communication strategy requires an in-depth knowledge of each client’s business, a good brief, clear marketing objectives, research, expertise and group creativity.

We’ve developed a project management process that is broken into documented phases — including clarification of project requirements, definition of milestones and designated responsibilities — so that our clients and our staff are clear about project status at every stage.

Research

Every project begins with a thorough analysis of the client’s operations, from their industry, competitors and business practices through to customers, products/service history, current status and long term business goals. As an objective partner, we pride ourselves on being able to effectively identify the key issues and challenges in every visual communications project.

Plan

Creating an innovative and engaging visual image that also meets the client’s marketing goals is our aim on every project. Our marketing and branding strategist, art director and senior designers work with the client to develop a comprehensive design strategy. This strategy ensures that the visual communication concepts we develop are unique and will successfully challenge competitors in the target market, creating a point of difference.

Clear timelines, resource requirements and responsibilities are then documented to ensure that project goals are achieved. We project manage the whole process — from design, film and print, to signage, multimedia and delivery — and ensure that timelines are met at every stage.

Develop

Once an agreed project strategy is in place, our designers explore the client’s communication objectives, developing a range of concepts and design options. With experienced designers in corporate identity, print literature, packaging, environmental design, annual reports, advertising campaigns and digital media, our staff can meet every design need.

Deliver

As a part of our quality assurance procedures, our production manager ensures that all elements of the project are timetabled and the project is running smoothly. Film and print production are managed to ensure the final product matches our high standards as well as client expectations.

Strategic alliances with experienced specialists such as copywriters, photographers, architects, interior/structural designers and printers mean that every client requirement can be met.

Implement

Even the most appealing design will not meet its target without careful attention to implementation. Many design and branding systems fail, not because they are misdirected or ill conceived, but because a good strong design has not been effectively applied.

We work with clients to establish the most effective implementation ensuring quality, timing, consistency and unity are maintained. If required we provide comprehensive guidelines for design management systems to help clients maintain the integrity of their design after implementation.
